Our Story
It all started in a small home studio in 1999, where our founder Jessica first began hand-making mineral based makeup. Inspired by her childhood love of playing dress-up and mixing beauty concoctions from household ingredients, Jessica taught herself how to blend natural pigments into beautiful, beneficial mineral powders and creams.
After gifting her cosmetics to friends and family, she realized she was onto something special. People loved how her products made them look instantly polished and pretty while still feeling lightweight and comfortable.
With encouragement from delighted customers, Jessica decided to turn her hobby into a business. She rented a tiny storefront studio, officially launched Ruby Kisses, and began selling her unique mineral makeup locally.
Word of Jessica’s high-quality, skin-nourishing formula spread quickly. As demand grew, we expanded our product line from a handful of mineral powders to a full collection of vibrant lipsticks, buttery glosses, rich creams, and more. We outgrew our humble studio and upgraded to a larger production facility to keep up with orders.
While the brand has grown over the decades, Jessica’s original vision remains the same. She still develops each formula in her cosmetics lab, hand-blends every batch, and oversees production. She relentlessly perfects each product until it meets her unwavering standards.

Our mineral powders, including foundations, blushes, bronzers and eyeshadows, start with micronized minerals derived from silica, titanium dioxide, iron oxides and mica.
